Taylor Swift is keeping Swifties fed.
On Thursday, Sept. 24, the pop superstar announced that the music video for her upcoming single, Patient Zero, will premiere Sunday at the VMAs — two days after the song drops. In a teaser for the music video, Swift revealed that she has recruited actors Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell to appear in the highly anticipated video.
“This Sunday. @vmas” Swift, 36, captioned the video.
The teaser opens with Swift standing in front of a bathroom mirror before cutting to what appears to be Swift and Johnson diving into the water. The brief preview then takes a darker turn, showing someone placing a black rose on a gravestone as two figures stand with their backs to the camera in a snow-covered graveyard.
The Patient Zero video is set to arrive as Swift prepares for a major night at this year’s VMAs. She is nominated in nine categories, including video of the year, best pop, best art direction, best cinematography, best editing, best choreography and best visual effects for The Fate of Ophelia. She is also nominated for best direction for Opalite, artist of the year, best album for The Life of a Showgirl, and song of the summer for I Knew It, I Knew You.
Swift will also receive the inaugural Artist Director Honors.
