
Samantha Morton talked honestly about the personal heartbreak which she is facing, revealing that this year was one of the hardest times of her life.
The 49-year-old actress, who is currently appearing in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, shared that her sister died in April at the age of 53.
Samantha said that she is still dealing with everything that came after and described it as a very painful experience.
During a recent interview, the star explained that trauma has been a part of her life for many years.
She, however, also revealed that she lost her father about 18 months ago, making the past two years especially difficult for her.
Even with the pain, she said she tries to stay hopeful and starts each day with a prayer.
The 2073actress also looked back at her difficult childhood as she spent much of her early life moving between foster homes and children’s homes after her parents separated.
Samantha added that she faced abuse and many struggles while growing up, forcing her to become strong from a very young age.
The star went on to admit there were times when life felt impossible, but she never gave up.
Moving to London as a teenager changed everything, helping Samantha start the acting career that later made her one of Britain’s most respected performers.
