Trump will take part in the memorial service at the Pentagon, where the hijacked American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the building at 9:37 a.m., claiming 184 lives. Vice President JD Vance, together with all living ex-presidents—Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton—will attend the World Trade Center location in New York, while former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani will join the group. Other members of the administration will be at Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where Flight 93 crashed, ensuring there will be representatives from the White House at all three locations.
New York ceremony starts at 8:40 a.m. ET at the National September 11 Memorial, with moments of silence observed for the main times during the attack sequence. There will be a seventh moment of silence this year to commemorate the thousands who have died from illnesses caused by the toxic dust exposure at Ground Zero.
