Questions continue to grow about where Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s friendship stands now after reports claimed the singer has stepped back from an important part of Blake’s family life.
According to reports, Taylor found it especially hard to walk away from her role as godmother to Blake’s three daughters.
A source claimed that it was not an easy choice and said the singer cared deeply about the children.
The insider, however, shared that she felt the situation got too complicated after Blake’s legal fight with It Ends with Us director Justin Baldoni.
The source also added that the Loverhitmaker made the decision a few months ago after talking it through with her husband Travis Kelce who always supports her in every decision.
For years, Taylor shared a close bond with James, Inez and Betty as she even used their names in songs from her Folklore album and later joked about being their godmother while promoting Deadpool & Wolverine.
Reports went on to add that there was never any official paperwork about Taylor’s role.
Instead, it was said to be a personal promise between her and the actress.
The source then revealed that Taylor does not believe it is possible to stay close to the kids while having little or no relationship with their parents.
Moreover, Taylor Swift and Blake Lively didn’t publicly commented on this just yet.
