Jackie, the bald eagle known for having raised multiple eaglets in Big Bear with her partner Shadow, is reportedly fighting for her life.

Jackie, the bald eagle, had been at the Ojai Raptor Centre’s care for last three weeks, after being recovered following a run-in with two other eagles.
The Ojai Raptor Centre issued an update in a post on social media on Sunday afternoon and wrote, “The past 24 hours have been incredibly difficult. Jackie remains critically ill, and her condition is currently unstable.”
Following the incident, she fell ill, with the centre described her condition as anemic.
According to centre, Jackie’s packed cell volume was as low as 6% on Saturday, August 8, slightly rose to 9% on Sunday, August 9.
The centre said, though, this count shows signs of improvement, but her “PCV remains critically low and her overall condition remains extremely serious.”
Just weeks ago, her PCV was recorded at 17%.
The Ojai Raptor Centre said, the core focus is remain on Jackie’s welfare and “providing the care she needs, adding, “Every decision continues to be guided by her medical condition and what is in her best interest.”
