KHANEWAL (Staff Reporter): In a commendable display of public-centric policing and commitment to swift justice, District Police Officer (DPO) Khanewal Muhammad Abid took immediate notice of a grievance raised by a 70-year-old elderly widow, earning wide praise from civil society and local citizens.
According to details, the elderly widow had approached the City Mian Channu Police Station last night seeking redress for an issue. However, she was allegedly met with improper, derogatory, and dismissive behavior by SHO Adnan Tipu.

The district police chief ordered an immediate registration of a formal case against the nominated suspects involved in the woman’s original grievance. Demonstrating a zero-tolerance policy toward administrative abuse, DPO Abid also ordered an official inquiry into the alleged mistreatment of the senior citizen at the police station.
The elderly widow expressed profound gratitude to DPO Muhammad Abid and the Pakistan Media Association for standing up for the vulnerable, offering heartfelt prayers for the officer’s dedication to justice. Local community leaders and social organizations widely lauded DPO Khanewal’s timely intervention, citing it as an exemplary standard of compassionate and accountable law enforcement.
