Ariana Grande just took her relationship with Ricky Alvarez to the next level.
Weeks after they reignited their romantic relationship, the pop star and her former backup dancer finally went Instagram official. On Wednesday, August 12, Grande shared a photodump featuring her dogs, random mirror selfies, and, of course, her new beau.
In one picture, the newly-reconciled couple took a picture in front of mirror. While their faces were cropped, Alvarez could be seen draping his arm over Grande’s shoulder as she snapped a picture.
Another picture showed the lovebirds in full, although the picture was intentionally blurry.
Grande tagged Alvarez in both slides.
The post was simply captioned with a plant emoji, an exclamation mark, and a heart.
Grande, 33, and Alvarez, 34, first dated from 2015-2016, sparking a romance after he joined her Honeymoon Tour as a backup dancer. Even though their relationship lasted only a year, the pair remained friends.
In 2018, Grande referenced Alvarez in her hit track, thank u, next, singing, “Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh.”
But during her recent eternal sunshine tour, Grande confirmed she and Alvarez were back together when she changed the lyrics of thank u, next to “Wrote some songs about Ricky / We always find our way back.”
The reconciliation came shortly after Grande ended her 3-year relationship with her Wickedcostar, Ethan Slater.
