Dr. Candice O’Neil said people can become more likely to accept poor treatment or ignore their own needs when they move into a new relationship before having enough time to process the previous one.
“Jumping into a new relationship can leave us vulnerable to poor treatment, poor boundary setting, and a lack of awareness of our relational needs,” she said.
She also warned that this can sometimes lead to stress, anxiety and low self worth.
The comments are not suggesting that Alvarez will treat Grande badly.
