RM gave a birthday girl the ultimate BTS concert keepsake, making it once-in-a-lifetime memory.
During the group’s first ARIRANG World Tour concert in Toronto on Saturday, August 22, the BTS leader, whose real name is Kim Namjoon, spotted a fan holding up a sign revealing that it was her birthday.
What happened next quickly became one of the night’s sweetest moments as it came with a gift she could hardly have imagined.
The South-Korean rapper, who was wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey during the show, made fans day extra special with a very personal gift: His shirt.
Visibly overwhelmed by the surprise, the fan’s reaction, captured in circulating video from the show, has since drawn attention online.
The gesture came during the group’s first of two Toronto performances at Rogers Stadium.
The ARIRANG tour stop marked BTS’ return to the city, with the group scheduled to perform there again on Sunday, August 23.
Notably, the surprise was not the only unexpected moment fans experienced that night.
The concert itself got off to a tense start when severe weather moved through Toronto.
With the outdoor venue facing heavy rain and thunderstorms, the event was temporarily placed on a weather hold, and fans were asked to leave the grandstands and seek shelter while officials monitored the conditions.
The delay, however, did not turn into a cancellation. Once the weather cleared, fans were allowed to return to their seats and BTS ultimately took the stage, allowing the sold-out show to go ahead.
