Bunnie Xo is opening up about her ex-husband Jelly Roll’s biggest betrayal.
While interviewing Denise Richards for the latest episode of the Dumb Blonde podcast on August 3, Bunnie Xo — whose real name is Alisa — reflected on the country star cheating on her early on in their marriage.
“When I had gone through a situation with an affair, it’s not the act that hurts you,” Bunnie began. “It’s the lies. It’s just, like, whiplash.”
Calling the affair a “different kind of hurt,” the 43-year-old continued, “There’s no way to feel good about it. Betrayal trauma literally rewires your brain to not trust people, to just feel disgusting because you’re the last to know.”
Jelly Roll — whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord — has previously admitted that he cheated on Bunnie a few years after they got married in 2016.
“One of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife,” he told the Humane School podcast in 2025.
Meanwhile Bunnie revealed in her memoir, Stripped Down, published earlier this year, that she contemplated ending her life after learning about the affair. “The pain was so intense that I genuinely just wanted to end it all,” she wrote.
Despite the betrayal, the pair “worked hard to repair the relationship” and came out of it stronger than ever. That’s why fans were shocked to learn that the Grammy-winner filed for divorce in May, after nearly 10 years of marriage.
Still, the pair remain on amicable terms, with Bunnie telling Richards that she always remains friends with all of her exes.
