Jelly Roll is ready to take some time for himself after a whirlwind few years.
According to Country Now, the country star — whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord — made the announcement on July 28 during a concert in Salt Lake City as part of his co-headlining Big Ass Stadium Tour with Post Malone.
Addressing the crowd at Rice-Eccles Stadium, the 41-year-old confirmed that his Colorado Springs concert — which has since taken place on July 30 — would be his last for the foreseeable future.
“This has truly been a lifetime experience for me,” he told fans. “And in a couple of nights, I go to Colorado Springs and do my last show for a year or two.”
“I’m fixing to take some time off and heal,” he continued. “Thank you for the opportunity.”
Over the last few years, Jelly Roll has dealt with the highest of highs as well as some lows. Since beginning his health journey in 2022, he has dropped 275 lbs. Earlier this year, he bagged his first three Grammy Awards.
But fans were shocked when the Hands Up hitmaker filed for divorce from his wife-of-10-years, Bunnie Xo (real name Alisa) in May.
The divorce was finalised last month, and the pair reportedly reached a confidential property settlement agreement with Bunnie receiving a one-time lump sum payment.
