Lamine Yamal, Spanish soccer prodigy, has caught Grand Theft Auto 6 fever, recently sharing a post that included a subtle nod to GTA 6.
The post received a surprise reaction from Grand Theft Auto 6 Instagram handle, which rarely posts on the platform.
The subtle post included carousels of Yamal and his partner, Ines Garcia, mentioning GTA in the caption, sparked buzz online.
GTA 6 community wasted no time in spotting the reaction from Rockstar Games, and it was enough for the online detectives to fuel rumours about whether Yamal’s post is part of a marketing blitz.
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick had hinted in early June that GTA 6 full-throttle marketing blitzwill begin in summer with opening of pre-orders and buzz-worthy trailer 3.
Not just that, rumours have also swirled about the first gameplay reveals, featuring never-seen-before game maps and mechanics of GTA 6 sometime in August.
So in this, Yamal mentioning GTA 6 should not surprise the gaming community.
Rockstar Games first announced the next GTA installment in the franchise back in 2023; since then it has become the most debated game of the decade.
Just to get a glimpse of the hype, since pre-orders went live on June 25, it already crossed the $1 billion mark within just three days, according to industry insiders.
Rockstar Games has set the date for GTA 6 launch on November 19, 2026.
