There have been rumours since the Sussexes announced their UK comeback that the Duchess was in talks to join Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen.
Later, the speculations were put to rest by royal commentator Tina Brown. She claimed that Meghan has been dropped from the project.
She wrote, “The backlash was so intense it became untenable to go forward.”
However, The Sun recently reported that Netflix bosses have high expectations for Meghan’s presence in the show, as it will attract a larger audience, which means more money.
“Her return to acting is expected to draw a large audience of both her supporters and critics, and is likely to make a lot of money. It will be seen as a major coup for whoever signs her,” an insider from the TV industry shared.
Meghan was known for her successful legal drama Suitsas Rachel Zane.
After marrying Harry, she parted ways with her acting career.
In 2022, the former working royal told Variety that she is “done” with acting. Meghan added, “I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not get back to it.
