
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh continued their packed on Day Nine of Commonwealth with a visit to Team England House at The Social Hub in Glasgow.
Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie were greeted with warm smiles as they toured the venue, which serves as Team England’s base throughout the Games.
The royal couple chatted with members of the squad and taking a genuine interest in their experiences both on and off the field of play.
The pair was wearing matching navy Commonwealth Sport zip-up jackets embroidered with the event’s logo.
Edward paired his with a crisp white polo shirt and light trousers, while Sophie opted for a similarly casual style, completing the sporty outfit with simple jewellery.
They were presented with a miniature “Glasgow cone” which is city’s most famous landmarks.
The keepsake references the iconic equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington in Royal Exchange Square, which has become internationally recognised for the orange traffic cone that locals regularly place on its head, turning it into one of Glasgow’s best-loved traditions.
