A five-year-old boy has delighted royal fans after sharing a handwritten note about an unforgettable moment he experienced while climbing one of England’s highest mountains.
Young Thomas was making his way up Scafell Pike with his family when he unexpectedly crossed paths with the Princess of Wales, who was taking part in the demanding Three Peaks Challenge.
The youngster later proudly documented the encounter with a simple but heartwarming message: “Saw Princess Kate.”
He added another excited line describing the surprise meeting: “Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, high fived me on the way up. She was doing 3 peaks night hike!!!!”
Princess Kate recently completed the Three Peaks Challenge, a gruelling endurance feat that involves climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales.
