Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling’s household just got a little fluffier.
The actress surprised fans by introducing the couple’s newest family member, an adorable rescue dog named Charlie, who has already won over both the family and their longtime pup, Magic.
“Introducing Charlie, our newest member of our familia,” Mendes wrote on Instagram. “We’re in love! Gracias to @californiadoodlerescues.”
The rescue organisation celebrated the adoption in the comments, writing, “Congratulations!!!! they have the best parents in town!!!!” Mendes replied with a heartfelt, “we love you guys!”
The post featured Charlie getting acquainted with Magic, who joined the family in 2024.
The two dogs appeared instantly at ease, with Mendes showering them both with affection in a series of sweet photos and videos.
It’s no secret the actress has a soft spot for rescue animals. Earlier this summer, she shared playful moments with Magic, calling dogs one of life’s greatest joys.
“Magic walking through my dress just because she can,” she previously wrote. “Thank God for dogs. The joy is endless. Thank God for dogs. The joy is endless.”
The family update comes during an exciting week for Gosling, who was recently announced as Marvel’s next Ghost Rider.
Mendes even marked the casting with a playful Instagram tribute, signing off her post with “Love, Roxy,” a nod to the character she played in the 2007 Ghost Rider film.
Between a superhero role and a new rescue pup, it’s safe to say the Gosling-Mendes family has had a memorable week.
