David Beckham has shared his future ambitions, emphasising that he wants Victoria Beckham to to continue growing and achieving her own goals as he prepares to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
At one point during the interview, David interrupted to draw a line around his personal life when he was asked about his reported feud with his eldest son Brooklyn.
The former Manchester United star has remained silent on the alleged family rift, despite reports that Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, skipped David’s 50th birthday celebrations and the events surrounding his recent knighthood.
He replied: ‘To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter. That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about.’
Instead talk turned to his future goals, with David stating: ‘Every day there’s a mountain to climb. I’ve got a life where I’m very busy with what I do. I’ve got four grown kids, the businesses, the club in Miami, but I always want to achieve more.’
David also opened up about the key to his 26-year marriage with Victoria and creating their ‘four incredible kids’.
The couple are parents to Brooklyn, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14.
David told Variety: ‘We’ve got four incredible kids. We’ve got businesses that we work hard on. But we always make time for each other, and we always have. I want Victoria to be the best version of herself, and vice versa.
‘And as busy as we are, our family always comes first. That’s our priority, and that’s what makes it work when you’ve been together for so long. Our priority will always be our family.’
David’s interview came ahead of receiving his Hollywood star, in which Victoria and their three youngest children are expected to attend and support him.
