Disney+ has set 9 September as the return date for Made in Korea, the crime thriller starring Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung, with the streamer confirming the second season will also mark the end of the series.
The new season will roll out with a two-episode premiere on 9 September, followed by two additional episodes each week through 23 September.
Made in Koreafirst launched in December 2025 with a similarly staggered rollout, following Hyun Bin’s character Baek Gitae, a man leading a double life as both a KCIA agent and a ruthless businessman in 1970s South Korea, as he’s pursued by Jung Woo-sung’s tenacious prosecutor Jang Geonyoung.
The first season became a breakout hit for Disney+’s Korean content slate, drawing praise for its high production values and lead performances, even as it launched without an initial Rotten Tomatoes score.
Season 2 brings back both leads alongside co-star Woo Dohwan, with writer Park Eunkyo and director Woo Minho also returning.
The series marked something of a television comeback for Hyun Bin, best known internationally for Crash Landing on You, following a stretch focused on film work including Confidential Assignment 2and The Point Men.
Made in Korea‘s success has come as part of a broader wave of Korean content growth for Disney+, which has also released A Shop for Killersseason 2, Gold Landand The Perfect Crownas part of its expanding slate this year.
All six episodes of Made in Korea‘s first season remain available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu ahead of the second and final season’s 9 September premiere.
