The royal family has urged peopel to stand with those facing cancer, sharing ways to support a friend or family member with a diagnosis.
The post also encouraged people living with cancer to share examples of how their friends and family supported them while going through treatment.
The palace shared guidance:
— Help with small housework tasks like changing the bed or taking out the bins.
— Talk as you normally do with your friend. Have those chats you normally had, but do be prepared to listen without judgement when they need to talk about the heavy stuff.”
— Drop round dinner with I’m feeling awake.
— Keep being a friend.
The message continued: “Whether you need someone to talk to about ways to support someone you love who has received a cancer diagnosis, help with managing stress, or are struggling emotionally, just come in to your nearest Maggie’s. You don’t need an appointment, and the support is always free.”
